Climatest Symor® auto dry cabinet, or PCB storage dry cabinet, is widely used and trusted by professionals in electronics manufacturing, R&D, cleanroom, and laboratories. These drying cabinets adopt self-regenerating desiccant dehumidifiers to provide an ultra-low humidity atmosphere. These cabinets don't require dry air/nitrogen purging, can automatically control <3%RH humidity, and have a quick recovery time.
These drying cabinets solve moisture problems with ultra-low humidity storage environments and comply with industry standards for MSDs and PCBs. Instead of high-temperature baking, these cabinets dehumidify during storing, which is best suited for removing moisture in SMT production, thereby eliminating damage during reflow.
During SMT reflow, if the humidity in the ambient is high, moisture will invade the electronics. The moisture that penetrates the interior will expand, causing micro-cracks. The damage is invisible, but in some cases, cracks will expand to the surfaces, known as popcorning, causing component repair or even waste. Climatest Symor® IC dry cabinet for IC packages can fix these problems for you. We provide <5%RH, <10%RH, complying with the MSD level specified by IPC standards.
How does the desiccant work?
Traditional desiccant bags are consumables and need replacement, this is very inconvenient. Climatest Symor® PCB storage drying cabinets use molecular sieves that can be regenerated without replacement. The dehumidifying is automatically controlled by a microcomputer. When the indoor humidity is high, it will start to absorb moisture; when the humidity reaches the set value, it will stop absorbing and then discharge the moisture to the outdoors.

A: No, it doesn’t control temperature, except for our 40 deg C baking series.
