Electronic dry cabinets: Application
MSL components are sensitive to humidity and have certain requirements for the storage environment. Unlike civilian moisture-proof drying cabinets, electronic drying cabinets must reach low humidity points and have fast dehumidifying and recovery time, and they should also be ESD-safe.
During the reflow soldering process, trace amounts of water vapor penetrate the IC package, and the absorbed moisture rapidly expands inside, causing invisible damage, such as wiring failures, popcorning, micro-cracks, and even surface cracks. These defects are not easy to detect, these invisible, latent problems entered the market, bringing returns and complaints.
